Sevenoaks Society Footpaths Group
You will find overleaf the programme of walks that has been arranged for Autumn and
Winter 2011/2012. The walks are about five miles in length, starting and finishing at the same point. Children are welcome if able to keep up. Dogs must be kept on a lead.
Please note that for a trial period we are changing the day of the walk from Sunday to a Monday or Thursday starting at 10.00 am.
The walks are open to all but to help our expenses and to support the aims of the Society you are invited to join the Society. The annual subscription is £5.00 and the Membership Secretary is:
- Phyllis Styles

For information on any particular walk, please ring the walk leader but for general
information please telephone me on 01732 459001. In the event of bad weather please contact the leader to ascertain whether the walk will take place.
If you are interested in walking on your own, the following publications will be useful to you:
- Country Walks Around Sevenoaks Vols. 1, 2, 3 and 4
These are based on original walks by R H Oakeley. There are 11 walks in each pack. The walks vary in length from 2 miles to 10 miles.
- Two Rights of Way maps of the Sevenoaks District by J C Fergusson on the scale of 2 ½ inches to the mile.
All these are available at monthly meetings of the Sevenoaks Society as well as at local bookshops and the Tourist Information Centre.
Finally, members are reminded that all who take part in these walks do so at their own risk and the Sevenoaks Society accepts no legal liability.
