22 February

Ed Thompson, a talk on Sevenoaks Villages, the past in pictures.
14 March
8pm
Merilyn Canet, a talk on Gems of Old  Sevenoaks – from the Council’s collection of pictures.
19 April Jonathan Fenner, Explore Tunbridge Wells, a walk and talk.  Meet at the Bandstand in Pantiles at 10.30am. Walk up through the town to Calverley Park. Break for lunch around noon. Meet again at 1.30 pm at King Charles the Martyr and thence to the Pantiles. Finish around 3.30pm. Numbers restricted to 25. Price per person to be paid on the day £12. gamble@riskrisk.com. There is a long stay car park on Major Yorkes Road or at the shopping precinct at the top end of the town. Jonathan suggests that participants might consider going by train.

Diamond Jubilee Reception at the Orangerie at Knole House. Numbers are limited to 70 people. Tickets £15 per person to be paid in advance. Please apply to David Gamble by post at Little Brittains, Brittains Lane, Sevenoaks TN13 2JW and make the cheque payable to the Sevenoaks Society.

Sir Nicholas Jackson will give a talk on his grandfather, Sir Thomas Jackson, the architect of Lime Tree Walk and the Emily Jackson Hospital. This date to be confirmed in next newsletter.

The Sevenoaks Society’s AGM. Speaker to be announced
