History:
Built late 18th – early 19th Century.
1830-1835 coffee house; assembly rooms, odd fellows hall, coffee house yard to rear – Wesley preached.
Ragstone façade rendered in 1880.
Previously traded as a garden shop (Acorn Gardening).

Matthew Cross – hairdressing.
Description:
Two storey building, probably re-roofed with clay plain tiles. Rendered façade with false ashlar quoins around ground floor windows, door and opening on right and moulded architraves to sash windows, moulded pediment over main door.
Shop front at ground floor with timber headed windows on each side. Painted pale blue with fawn quoins and architraves with white windows on first floor, ground floor cream with dark blue door in brown timber frame with fanlight over.
Comment:
Generally sound condition, poor decorative state.
