History:
Flat roofed single storey building of about 1935 in front of Grade II listed 18 century house at 45A.

Description:
No 45
Single glazed door in centre of shop front splayed sides single glazed display windows with square leaded lights in deep fanlights over in painted timber frames. Low brick stall risers with brick piers on each side of shop front and brick faced lintel over medium deep fascia over shop front with large ‘art nouveau’ style sign ‘Sevenoaks Art Shop’. Fixed blue canvas blind between fascia and windows.
Flat roof edged at front and on returns with clay tile ‘parapet’ supporting wrought iron railing.
No. 45A
18 century panelled door with bottle glass top lights in panelled pilastered frame with ferm leaf ornament and flat projecting moulded hood over (up four brick steps to door). First floor tile hung with lattice casements. Eaves and gutter. Hipped tiled roof (the elevation facing London Road is concealed behind large projecting one storey modern shop building).
Comment:
No. 45 undistinguished simple building which unfortunately largely conceals the Grade II listed building behind.
