History:
Built late 18th century, Grade II listed as eastern part of Nos. 6 and 8 London Road East.
Apart from shop front which in late 18th century would have included very small glass panes, the structure remains unchanged.

Current Use:

Café Uno with Nos. 6 and 8 London Road East
Description:
Late 18th century three window façade on two storeys with further accommodation on hipped mansard tiled roof.
Ground floor, moulded panelled painted timber shop front with four leaf full height sliding folding doors on each side of central entrance double doors, all with shallow plain glazed fanlights over. Deep lead flashed outward sloping fascia with large ‘Café Uno’ lettering over entrance doors and smaller lettering over sliding folding doors, each lit by three individual spotlights. Narrow slightly recessed entablature between top of shop front and lower edge of fascia.
First floor, painted plain tiles with three Georgian double hung sash windows in moulded surrounds, each window having four glazing squares.
Roof, deep half hipped mansard plain tiled roof with one two leafed casement dormer over outer sash windows on first floor and each leaf with four panes. Flat roofs with lead flashed tops and cheeks.
North side elevation to passage similar treatment in elevation to above.
Comment:
Fits very comfortably into immediate surroundings, and especially as background to summer open air usage, no improvements needed, but should be kept in good condition. Should be retained. Recent repainting in orange/red/brown company colours unsatisfactory and unsympathetic.
